Professor LAr. Dr. Ismawi Haji Zen
Professor at the Department of Landscape
Architecture, Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED,
International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
Prof. Ismawi is an internationally recognised landscape
architect and urban desisgner particularly in the Muslim world. He has a strong
professional focus on Islamic built environment. He has vast experience in the
teaching, researches, consultancies and community works, locally and
internationally. Amongst his great achievement is his involvement in designing
the extension of the holy Masjidil Haram,
Makkah. He also involved in the university administrative: the first Dean of
Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED) (1996-1998); IIUM
Deputy Rector (Planning and Development) (1999-2005); Dean of ISTAC (2012-2013).
The Government of Sarawak and the Federal Government acknowledge Prof. Ismawi’s
contribution towards the development of ummah.
In 2010, Prof. Ismawi was selected as “Tokoh
Maal Hijrah” by both Governments.

Mozaffar
Rector of Art University
of Isfahan, Iran.
Prof. Mozaffar
is the faculty member of University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran. He
has extensive experience in architecture across all levels of government,
private organisations and higher education institutions with his expert
leadership. He has many national and
international achievements ranging from many fields: the editor of number of
international journals; patents; international and national awards; numerous
publications in international and national journals; and number of books. Prof.
Mozaffar is unique in his ability to turn the knowledge in architectural field
into product outcomes and collaboration that lead to new joint ventures between
universities worldwide.

Professor Sr Dr Khairuddin
Abdul Rashid
Dean of Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED, International
Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
Prof. Khairuddin is the current Dean of KAED,
IIUM. Before joining IIUM, he has served Public Work Deparment (JKR) for many
years. During his time with JKR, he involved in many projects for public
buildings. He has extensive experience in the field of quantity surveying,
particularly in construction procurement. His works included among others are
construction technology and building economics, building and contruction, assets
and facilities management, locally and internationally. He has become
supervisor for many Malaysian and international PhD students and also examined
postgraduates students at local universities and abroad. He has been invited to
become keynote speaker, adjunct professor and expert in
many occasions. Being as an experienced and knowledgeable quantity surveyor, he
has written in many refereed international and national journals such as
Journal of Construction Procurement and The Malaysian Surveyor, respectively.

Ir H. Bambang Pranggono
Senior lecturer of Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA), Indonesia.
Bambang
Pranggono is known for his dedicated works in Indonesian architecture. He has
been serving the university since 1974, offering his enourmous experience and
knowledge in teaching, research works and community services. He was the
founder and Dean of Faculty of Engineering, UNISBA (1986-1991). His research
interests span a broad range within the fields of architecture and engineering.
He has written in many local publications, such as Percikan Sains Dalam Al-Quran (2004), Mozaik Dakwah (2005) and Mukjizat
Sains Dalam Al-Quran (2007).

Professor Dato’ Ar Dr
Asiah Abdul Rahim
Professor at the Department of Architecture, Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED,
International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
Prof.
Asiah is the Director of KAED Universal Design Unit (KUDU), a research unit
addressing the issues dedicated to the disable people. She has served the
university for many years, successfully undertaking many tasks, ranging from
administrative, research, consultancies, teaching, supervision and community
services. She has many publicatiaons in international journals, books,
monograps and proceeding with her concentration topics are on universal design
architecture and industrialised building system (IBS). She is the first female
architect that holds a PhD in Malaysia. She is actively involved in many
organisations, namely Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM), Pertubuhan Arkitek
Malaysia (PAM) and Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB). She is also
a Principal Architect for her firm, Dasar Architect.
